When I read the manga the translator note had “Doem Ketsuhat” translated as something like “Super Masochist Ass Spanking With Bat”

Because, from what I’ve seen and heard in anime, “M” means Masochist… so Doem means very masochistic.

And apparently Ketsuhat is close to KetsuBat which is some Japanese thing of spanking ass with bat.

But I’m in favor of interpreting it as Super Masochist Asshat.

As much as I like “Super Masochist Ass Spanking [with a bat]” better.

The name is a pun anyway. I just stick with what I'm familiar which is much closer to the Japanese than Mundane Mann. Jimina Seinen literally means Plain Young Man in Japanese.

The subtitles do not seem to be directly translating as accurately. The manga fan trans had those little translator notes that explains a possible translation and they seemed to make more sense.

Nevertheless, I think Jimina Seinen as Mundane Man is totally fine.

Doem Ketsuhat as Pervy Asshat I thought was also just kinda wrong.

Do “M” should just mean very/super masochist, and not Perv(y). Ketsuhat makes sense as Asshat directly translated, though I liked the approach the manga T/n took.
